Stress is the body’s way of dealing with imbalance, and understanding how your body deals with this imbalance is the key to what reduces stress. What causes stress can be very individual. Some people have stress reactions to physiological imbalances, others react to emotional, physical and financial stress.
Regardless of the cause, stress adds up to be a load on your body, and to deal with this imbalance your body produces cortisol, which is a stress related hormone.
Cortisol is a safety mechanism that causes your body to hold on to fat to ensure it has enough fuel for energy. It slows down your use and processing of nutrients and at the same time produces a supply or reserve of fat. When the body has an excessive amount of cortisol it holds on to fat so that you always have a reserve to live on. This was a good thing back in the stone age, when it was feast or famine for the cavemen. But it’s a survival tool that we don’t need today since we have plenty of food available, so for us, stress that produces cortisol just results in a fatter, unhealthier body.
If your body is highly acidic because of the foods you eat, it becomes extremely out of balance in stress mode. A stressed, acidic body produces cortisol at a level that causes it to hold onto fat and it won’t burn carbohydrates, proteins or fats very efficiently. As a result, your body gets bigger and bigger which causes even more stress, which results in more imbalance and that produces another load. It’s a vicious cycle that has detrimental results in the body, causing health issues ranging from diabetes to heart problems and cancer.
There are definite ways you can relieve the stress load on your body through nutrition. To discover for yourself what reduces stress start by eating a healthy, alkaline diet and make sure you drink at least half of your body weight in ounces of pure water every day.
Again, if your body is not out of balance it won’t release as much of the stress hormone, cortisol.
Another important way to overcome the amount of stress on your body is to put in the right adaptogenic herbs. The best product, by far, to give you the benefit of adaptogens is called Ionix Supreme. The stress in your life may not ease up, but your body’s ability to handle it will amaze you.

In my experience, nutrition and nutritional cleansing are the key factors to control stress in your life, but there are definitely other things you can do to figure out how to stop stress.
I found these 5 great tips and wanted to share them with you.
If you are stressed sleep can be difficult. Staying up late and getting up early is not a good combination. Start going to bed in time to get 8 hours of sleep or more. Sleep helps your body to recover and handle difficult situations. Without enough sleep you will not be prepared to face the day.
Exercise reduces stress and helps your body be more prepared to handle stress when it comes around. Try to get 30-60 minutes of cardio in 3-5 days a week. It will make a big difference in the way you feel.
Check what you eat. You don’t have to lose weight to reduce stress, but you do need to eat regularly and eat healthy. Get some fruit in your diet asap.
When you dwell on the negative you will be overwhelmed by it. Let go of the past and focus on moving forward to stop stress.
Find something you can do to take your mind off of what is stressing you out. Hobbies are a great distracting activity to keep you busy.

While I don’t believe it’s possible to completely eliminate stress from your life, it is possible to learn how to stop stress in mid-stride so to speak. I can teach you how to stop stress with nutrition, and then there are also additional techniques you can use to help with stress management.
I found this great video by a well known British hypnotherapist. It’s a great resource to come back to anytime you wonder how to stop stress.
At first I thought the idea of a stress relief video with hints of hypnotherapy was pretty hokey, but after watching I felt so relaxed and refreshed that I wanted to share it as a great tool to use in how to stop stress. I would love to hear how you feel after watching.
I admit, it’s a mildly humorous commercial, being slapped in the face by the chicken wing you’re trying to eat. The message: not to worry, when food is fighting you, just take an antacid.
I get so frustrated when I see commercials like this, as well as the hundreds of drug commercials bombarding us every day. It’s all about putting band-aids on the problem instead of eliminating the problem itself. If people ate healthy in the first place, they wouldn’t need antacids or most of the drugs the pharmaceutical companies are pushing on us.
What are your thoughts on this?
I’m more and more convinced that the biggest thing standing in the way of people’s health is ignorance. I was in meetings all of last weekend and the first morning overheard a woman talking about her heart issues, high blood pressure and various other health problems. Every time I saw her she was pouring diet soda into an oversized travel mug that never left her side.
In hindsight I wish I would have just approached her and told her how she was destroying her health, sip by toxic sip. She seemed intelligent enough, so I’m pretty sure that if she realized she was practically drinking poison, she wouldn’t be guzzling it like an addict.
She was overweight, and drank diet soda to watch her calorie intake. If only she knew about cleansing for weight loss, she would be able to shed pounds as well as be on her way to improved health.

Is the popularity of the nutrition cleanse a health version of a get-rich-quick scheme? An article I read recently asked this question, suggesting that the reason people want to cleanse is to quickly absolve themselves of unhealthy living, only to go right back to their bad habits as long as they cleanse once in a while. Sort of like going to confession on Sunday morning after partying all night Saturday, week after week…
While I somewhat agree with the article, especially the fact that people are led to believe that cleanses are a quick fix and don’t teach you how to make healthy changes, I disagree with the argument that because our body is designed to process and eliminate everything it consumes, we don’t need use cleansing products.
Because of our daily exposure to toxins, our bodies are working overtime to eliminate harmful waste, and this added stress on our bodies can result in a number of health problems ranging from simple fatigue to fatal cancer.
The type of cleanse that I help people with, although it often results in amazing weight loss, is not a diet or a quick fix, it’s a lifestyle. It can definitely jump start your metabolism and I teach people how to prepare their bodies before ever doing a deep cleanse.
When you cut out the excess and feed your body the nutrients it needs, it will stop craving the junk and you can be on your way to live healthier longer instead of forever looking for quick fixes to cover up the damage from treating your body like an amusement park.

Are you one of those “I’m going to die anyway” people? Do you eat and drink whatever tastes good because you believe that in the end one thing or another is going to kill you?
Well, do I have a challenge for you.
For a month (which is like a blink of an eye in the grand scheme of things) commit to making healthy choices. Cut back, or better yet, eliminate coffee and soda and drink half of your body weight in ounces of water every day instead. For example, if you weigh 160 lbs, drink 80 oz of water a day. Cut out most sugar and white refined carbs. Choose alkaline foods (you can find acid/alkaline food charts on the internet), and try getting a little bit of exercise on a daily basis. (These steps also happen to be an essential part of cleanse for weight loss.)
After the 30 days, see how you feel and let me know whether you wouldn’t rather live to live, than live to die.
Did you know that you may have around 116 different chemicals in your body!!?? (according to the Centers For Disease Control). There is a way to protect yourself from continued exposure to environmental toxins and oxidative stress which can cause weight gain and premature aging? Watch this video to find out how:
